Routine Obstetric Care

Regular medical appointments during pregnancy are essential for ensuring a healthy pregnancy and minimizing the chances of complications for both the mother and the baby. These appointments are scheduled throughout the first, second, and third trimesters and consist of a range of tests, scans, and physical examinations. They offer the patient a chance to address any concerns, seek clarification, and gain valuable knowledge about prenatal care, nutrition, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum care. We at Dr Husnia Gargash IVF Centre believe prioritizing these appointments is crucial for a successful and well-informed pregnancy journey.

Early Pregnancy Care

Early pregnancy scans, which are conducted in the first trimester, provide crucial information about the health of the pregnancy, how far along you are, the baby’s heartbeat, and any signs of potential complications. These scans help us plan appropriate prenatal care and identify any issues as early as possible.

Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)

Discover the valuable NIPT – a screening test designed to evaluate the potential risk of chromosomal abnormalities in an unborn baby during pregnancy!

It is a screening test used to assess the risk of certain chromosomal abnormalities in a developing fetus during pregnancy. NIPT involves analyzing a sample of the mother’s blood to examine fragments of fetal DNA that are naturally present in the maternal bloodstream. This DNA comes from the fetus and circulates in the mother’s blood during pregnancy. By analyzing this cell-free fetal DNA, NIPT can detect the presence or absence of specific chromosomal conditions like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, Patau syndrome, Turner syndrome, and Klinefelter syndrome, among others.

It’s important to note that NIPT is a screening test and not a diagnostic test. If the NIPT results indicate a high risk of a chromosomal abnormality, further confirmatory testing (like, amniocentesis) may be recommended to obtain a definitive diagnosis.
